Emily Ratajkowski Criticizes Katy Perry's Blue Origin Space Trip

Emily Ratajkowski has criticized Katy Perry's female-only Blue Origin space trip.

The model referred to herself as "revolted" by the exclusively female space mission, labeling its participants as " hypocrites" in an unfiltered social media clip.

"The space mission earlier today is just apocalyptic nonsense," said Emily, 33, angrily, further expressing her opinion that the 11-minute trip to the edge of space, backed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and consisting solely of women astronauts, was utterly absurd.

She proceeded to characterize the project as hypocritical.

"Claiming that you're concerned about our planet, and this whole idea revolves around protecting the Earth, all while boarding a spacecraft constructed and financed by a corporation that's singularly responsible for devastating the environment?" Emily asked.

Just consider the condition of our planet, and reflect on all the resources devoted to sending those women to space. What was the point of it all?

The next day, Emily came back to TikTok with additional insights.

“I believe this space mission confuses some folks because it showcases women and individuals of color in fields such as science and politics where they haven’t historically been represented,” she explained. “It genuinely seems progressive visually.”

However, the reality is that a man who amassed his wealth solely through exploitation and greed becoming one of the top 1% and choosing to take his fiancée along with some other notable women on a space tourism trip does not represent progress.

The spacecraft's entirely female team comprised singer Katy Perry, aged 40, Jeff's fiancée Lauren Sanchez, who is 55, along with television host Gayle King, 70 years old.
