Bellingham, you might find it simpler to secure a parking space at Trader Joe’s since the new site has announced its opening date.
The second Bellingham store for Trader Joe's is scheduled to open on Thursday, May 29, as stated in a press release from the company.
This 9,831 square foot outlet will serve as the second location for Trader Joe’s in Bellingham," according to the press statement. "Just prior to opening at 8 a.m., Store Leader Brian Casey along with his team of employees from Trader Joe’s will conduct a short ribbon-cutting event followed by welcoming guests into their newest community store.
The newly opened store has taken the place previously occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond at 4255 Meridian St. which closed in 2023 .
The team at Trader Joe’s has crafted the store to envelop you in the essence of the Pacific Northwest through an immersive experience that combines elements reminiscent of an outdoor adventure alongside exceptional cuisine and drinks," according to the press statement. "Operating as a community-oriented supermarket,Trader Joe’s takes pride in employing individuals from nearby neighborhoods. This location welcomed over 30 fresh hires from adjacent regions and also brought aboard staff from other Trader Joe’s outlets."
“Furthermore, as part of the company’s long-standing Neighborhood Shares Program, the newly opened Bellingham (North) Trader Joe’s will donate all unsold items still suitable for consumption to various non-profit, community-oriented groups every day of the week.”
The inauguration event will start at 7:55 a.m. on Thursday, May 29th.
The new Trader Joe's store will operate from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day at 4255 Meridian Street, within the Cordata Center.
