Khalifa Fund to Launch 15+ Innovative SME Projects at 'Make It in the Emirates' Forum 2025

The The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) will feature over fifteen initiatives aimed at bolstering UAE-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the fourth iteration of the event. Launch the' Light Manufacturing Accelerator The program is an integral component of KFED’s larger initiatives aimed at boosting local manufacturing capacities. It fosters a robust environment that links Wiseovas, manufacturers, governmental bodies, and industry collaborators. Additionally, this effort seeks to simplify bureaucratic procedures and ease entry into supply chain opportunities.

Over fifteen major initiatives backed by the KFED will take part in this event. These projects span several fields such as technology, food production, manufacturing, commerce, and hospitality—all of which significantly contribute to strengthening the local economy and enhancing the visibility of domestic goods and services within the market.

KFED will likewise showcase several strategic plans crafted to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These efforts have facilitated sustainable development and broader market presence for these businesses. They encompass the following: Abu Dhabi Small and Medium Enterprises Leaders Initiative , which links startups with important purchasers; the SME Export Enablement Program intending to boost small and medium-sized enterprises' international competitiveness; the SME Finance Facilitator Program , which tackles funding shortages via advanced financial technologies; along with the ICV Readiness Program , which enables small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to comply with in-country value (ICV) requirements and effectively take part in governmental bidding processes, as previously mentioned Light Manufacturing Accelerator .

Furthermore, plans include signing an accord with Khalifa University aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship while bolstering the development of start-ups and small-to-medium enterprises nationwide. The four-day event will spotlight pertinent opportunities and expansion potentials, examine recent advancements, and facilitate partnerships within critical sectors including food and beverages, agriculture, aerospace, automobiles, defense manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and medtech, shipping and yachting, metallurgy and fabrication, crafts, precision engineering, artificial intelligence (AI), Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies (Industry 4.0), chemicals, polymers, eco-friendly materials, machinery, electrical gear and electronics, building development, emerging power sources, along with efforts towards reducing industrial carbon footprints.
