NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – While bigger companies such as Schlitterbahn have already advertised their openings for temporary roles, several businesses in New Braunfels continue to seek additional staff members.
Becca Miears, who leads human resources at New Braunfels, highlighted the significance of these positions, noting, "This serves as an excellent foundation. It enhances resumes and builds skills."
Meiers stated that the city is trying to fill roles essential to its functioning. "These individuals will offer direct customer support at our facilities and parks, as well as assist residents in enjoying their time and making the most of what New Braunfels has to offer," she explained.
The city is primarily concentrating on addressing shortages in two key roles: lifeguards and park rangers. Miears mentioned that their recruitment efforts aren’t solely aimed at a younger audience. “Our scope includes individuals ranging from high schoolers to college students, retirees, and even teachers seeking summer jobs,” she stated.
Miears pointed out that for individuals looking beyond temporary work, these part-time roles might evolve into long-term ones. She mentioned, “Many of our current full-time staff began their journey with us as seasonal team members.”
Earlier this year, reports indicated that Schlitterbahn planned to recruit more than 2,000 staff members. To learn about open roles, check out their website for details. New Braunfels website or Schlitterbahn .
