Tudor chose the 2025 Miami Grand Prix to reveal its latest F1-inspired timepiece , celebrating its continued collaboration with the Cash App Racing Bulls (CARB) team .

Like Tudor Black Bay Ceramic "Blue" Launched last year, Tudor seized this chance to explore different materials in order to highlight the watch's association with motor racing.

Here’s all the information you need regarding the new Tudor Black Bay Chrono "Carbon 25."

Mystery Solved

Earlier this year, during the largest watch exhibition globally—the Watches and Wonders event in Geneva—we got an exclusive first look and practical experience with many of Tudor’s planned launches for 2025. This included the debut of their new Pelagos Ultra model, along with the updated Black Bay 58 featuring Master Chronometer certification, among others. Tudor Black Bay Pro featuring a white dial .

However, the prominent countdown clock situated beside a replicated VCARB F1 car within the brand’s expansive exhibit could have been the most captivating element we observed at the event.

It was obviously hinting at a forthcoming racing watch, yet we were clueless about its appearance.

A Fresh Instance for the Competition

The "Carbon 25" moniker in the watch's title highlights its distinctive attribute: a carbon fiber case paired with a coordinating one-piece carbon fiber tachymetric bezel, sub-dials, and even the end-links.

This level of detail underscores Tudor's growing comfort with using the robust yet lightweight material. The brand debuted its inaugural carbon fiber timepiece earlier in 2023, marking this as the first such offering not only for Tudor but also for its parent company, Rolex. 43mm Tudor Pelagos FXD .

In addition to altering the materials, Tudor implemented further modifications to the case design to differentiate the F1 collaboration from its predecessor. Core Black Bay Chrono models reference .

With a width of 42mm and thickness of 13.3mm, this model is marginally wider yet somewhat slimmer compared to most stainless steel variants.

It seems logical to assume that the Tudor Black Bay Chrono "Carbon 25" would be lighter compared to its stainless steel counterparts; however, Tudor’s promotional material does not provide an official weight for this model.

Inside, the timepiece is driven by the same MT5813 chronograph movement utilized throughout the remainder of the Black Bay Chrono collection.

More Motorsport Details

The "racing white" domed dial, along with various red and blue accents on the dial, clearly references the livery of Red Bull Racing. However, several more discreet features also underscore this brand connection even further.

The watch comes with a hybrid leather-rubber band featuring a "tire tread" design.

The rear of the case includes an engraving of the F1 vehicle along with a numbered inscription highlighting its status as part of a limited-edition series.

A total of 2,025 Black Bay Chronograph "Carbon 25" editions will be produced, aligning with this Tudor’s previous strategy of issuing collaboration timepieces in restricted numbers .

Priced at a Premium

Anyone who has even a basic knowledge of carbon fiber understands that this extraordinary material comes at a premium price.

It remains unclear whether material expenses solely account for the rise, but the Black Bay Chronograph "Carbon 25" has a retail price of $7,575, which marks a substantial increase from the initial cost of the stainless steel Black Bay Chronograph at $5,775.

It is pricier compared to Tudor's carbon composite Pelagos FXD Cycling and Pelagos FXD Chrono models; however, it should be noted that these two versions are not limited editions.

Within the broader scope of the carbon fiber watch market, the "Carbon 25" might reasonably be viewed as closer to the center of the pricing range .

Building a Lead

In general, there’s plenty to appreciate about the Black Bay Chronograph “Carbon 25,” particularly for those who enjoy motorsports, regardless of which team they support.

The palette featuring white, blue, and black is strikingly appealing and widely attractive, particularly for those seeking a light yet durable sports timepiece ideal for summertime escapades.

It also becomes part of a family with striking Flamingo Blue and Miami Pink versions.

When considered with other recent launches, it's clear that Tudor's Black Bay Chrono has rapidly emerged as one of the trendiest and most distinctive chronograph collections currently available.
